I am driven by big challenges to continue elevating the human experience in digital mediums. I am equally passionate about bringing forward-thinking and ethical solutions to today's complex problems, leveraging my curiosity and background in Computer Science and self-learning design to deliver impactful user experiences across scalable B2B and B2C products.
Most recently, I led the design team at QClub. A Vancouver-based marketing SaaS start-up where I delivered efficiency and systems-thinking by collaboratively designing an all-in-one exclusive rewards tool that empowers small business owners to acquire and retain more customers.
I am also involved in the design community as a coordinator for Vancouver Design Check-In. Vancouver's largest UX, product and graphic design Slack group founded by my good friend Jarell Alvarez.

As an immigrant from Mexico who's had the privilege to live in Canada, I have seen first hand the distinct differences in opportunity based on one's ability to access and leverage technology. As a designer, It is my mission to create the kind of impact that will bring on equality of opportunity for those who currently do not have it.
Today my focus lies in partnering with companies who's core mission is intentioned towards empowering people to find meaning and purpose in their life by solving the kinds of problems that allow them to focus on what's important to them.
I have been the beneficiary of such opportunity and as a result, I found the thing that truly fulfills me in design, I hope the work I produce helps move the needle forward towards a society where people have such opportunities and be empowered to do what they love.

Max demonstrated an ability to lead by proactively seeking to involve members of cross functional teams into his design process and subsequently execute. He was a great communicator, particularly in presenting progress to the rest of the team and wasn’t afraid to challenge ideas where he saw necessary.
Incredibly supportive is the phrase that comes to mind when I think about Max. I had the pleasure of working with him in the product design team at QClub, together working on the design system, business dashboard and user research for QClub mobile app. No matter how tense a day of work is, He always makes sure our team remains motivated and inspired.
Max's process kept the essence of our vision, was well thought out and helped us know the customer and view our product differently. Ultimately yielding a better result. he also was conscious and aware of project milestones and deliverables. We look forward to working more with Max in the future.
